Marshall Academy quarterback Dakota Dailey is the Gateway Tire & Service Center Player of the Week. The sophomore led the Class AA fourth ranked Patriots to a 54-21 win over Tunica and in doing so rushed for 100 yards on 5 carries and a touchdown and went 8/9 passing for 177 yards and 3 touchdowns.
"Dakota is a very talented and hard working young man," said Marshall head football coach Bart Jenkins. "He understands our system, the game of football and most importantly how to compete. We know we are going to get his best everyday and his teammates and coaches know that."
Dailey rushed for 108 yards on 12 carries and 3 touchdowns and was 6/9 passing for 93 yards in the Patriot's 28-10 win over Magnolia Heights in week one.
